La Roux est forme a Brixton dans la banlieue de Londres. Le duo est compose de Elly Jackson (chant, claviers) et de Ben Langmaid (producteur, programmeur), leurs influences sont clairement orientees synth pop et new wave de Yazoo a Blondie.
La Roux compte pas pour des prunes
Leur premier simple? ??Quicksand?? sort en novembre 2008 sur le label independant Kitsune Music. Il attire l'attention de Polydor qui signe le duo. Leur talent eclate avec ??In for the Kill?? qui se classe n?2 en Angleterre en mars 2009. La Roux prepare son premier album et se pose comme un serieux concurrent pour The Ting Tings.

Parisian label Kitsune, which had already released her first single Quicksand in 2008, has asked French producer Lifelike to make a remix of her latest hit In For The Kill?!
And the result is a breathtaking and heady track, with a repetetive and relentless glass-breaking beat that will take you further and further, like driving on a motorway at night?!
It will be released on digital and one-side vinyl exclusively through Kitsune on April 20th and will be featured on much expected Kitsune Maison 7 compilation in May!
