1) The Whip is an electro band from Manchester, UK, formed in 2006. The band members are Danny Saville, Lil Fee, Nathan Sudders and Bruce Carter. In 2006, they released both Frustration and Trash. This was soon followed in 2007 by the release of three singles through a selection of labels; Muzzle No.1, Divebomb and Sister Siam.
The band's debut album, 'X Marks Destination', was released on Southern Fried Records on March 24th 2008. The album was preceded by the re-release of a newly recorded version of Trash.

2) The Whip was an influential Northwestern punk band. The band released a highly acclaimed 7" and broke up shortly after the death of drummer Scott Jernigan in a boating accident. The group featured Joe Preston of Thrones, Melvins, High on Fire, amd Earth fame as well as Jared Warren of Karp and future member of Tight Bros From Way Back When,Big Business and Melvins. They released a 7" on the Wantage USA label (Freelance Liason/Sheep and Goat Judgement) had one tour ep that featured five songs, and a cover of Queen's Stone Cold Crazy as well as multiple live shows available online.

Voila un autre album dans la lignee dance matine de rock des Justice, Digitalism et Boys Noize qui permettent a la musique electronique ces jours-ci de gagner de nouveaux adeptes. The Whip donne encore plus dans la structure chanson, cela est du essentiellement a la voix qui surplombe la plupart des pieces de X Marks Destination. Une bonne basse rappelle Death From Above 1979. Comme chez ce dernier, c?est un esprit rock qui anime l?ensemble, surtout en ce qui concerne l?interpretation; on sent que de vrais instruments ont ete utilises lors de l?enregistrement. The Whip sait trouver la juste mesure entre le glauque des boites de nuit et la lumiere des etoiles et signe un album qui contient quelques chansons, a l?instar de Trash offerte en ouverture, qui cristallisent l?energie qui propulse la nuit.
