Christophe Monier is The Micronauts, house and techno producer and DJ.
Monier has a revelation at age 4, by listening to ?The Firebird? by Stravinsky. Music enters his life. He learns the piano and classical guitar, jazz guitar, then studies fine arts and cinema. One of his professors at the university is Iannis Xenakis. In the 90s, he devotes himself to the emerging French electronic music scene: he?s a founding member of the legendary fanzine eDEN and he forms the bands Discotique with Patrick Vidal, Impulsion with DJ Pascal R, The Micronauts with George Issakidis and Nature, a deep house project in solo. Today, Monier is in sole command of The Micronauts. He is also half of Rituel and runs the label Micronautics.
The Micronauts release at first the track ?Get Funky Get Down? in the mid 90s, with the first remix ever done by Daft Punk. Then it?s The Micronauts? turn to remix other artists such as The Chemical Brothers, Orchestral Manoeuvres In The Dark, Underworld or Death In Vegas. The band signs in 1999 on Science, an offshoot of Virgin UK, and releases the song ?The Jag? with a video made by the American director Gregg Araki. The mini-album ?Bleep To Bleep? is released the following year.
In the middle of year 2000, Monier decides to pursue solo the adventure The Micronauts. He remixes Madonna and Mirwais among others, and founds the label Micronautics in 2004. He publishes ?High Rise?, which becomes an anthem on the techno scene, played by the biggest DJs like Dave Clarke, Sven Vath or Chris Liebing.
In 2007, Monier signs The Micronauts on Vitalic?s label Citizen Records. He releases a double CD consisting of a new album, ?Damaging Consent? and the compilation ?A Remixes Retrospective?. The single ?Reaction? is excerpted from the album, with a video directed by Cyrille de Vignemont.
After a period working with other artists, Monier relaunches his label Micronautics in 2012. He forms with Thomas Regnault the deep house band Rituel and releases several EPs. Meanwhile, he produces the next tracks of The Micronauts that will be out in the coming months.

The Micronauts sort d?abord au milieu des annees 90 le morceau ? Get Funky Get Down ?, accompagne du premier remix jamais realise par les Daft Punk. Puis c?est au tour de The Micronauts de remixer d?autres artistes, tels The Chemical Brothers, Orchestral Manoeuvres In The Dark, Underworld ou Death In Vegas. Le groupe signe en 1999 sur Science, un label de Virgin Angleterre, et sort le fameux maxi ? The Jag ?, avec un clip realise par le metteur en scene americain Gregg Araki. Le mini-album ? Bleep To Bleep ? sort l?annee suivante.
