DJ Mehdi (born Mehdi Faveris-Essadi in 1977) is a french DJ since 1992, who began in the rap band Ideal J (with Kery James). He also spun for 113. He created the label "Espionnage", with names like Rohff, Roce, Karlito, Dj Feadz, and Zdar (Cassius).
He has also worked with Assassin, MC Solaar and Keziah Jones. Mehdi took part in several Original Soundtracks such as "Femme Fatale" (De Palma) and "Rois et Reines" (Arnaud Desplechin).
He is the official DJ of Kourtrajme, a french team of short movie producers.
He has made two solo albums: "STORY OF ESPION" (2002) and "Lucky Boy" (2006).

DJ Mehdi, de son vrai nom Mehdi Faveris-Essadi, est un compositeur de hip-hop francais originaire de Gennevilliers dans le 92 (Hauts-de-Seine) d'origine Tunisienne ne en 1977. Ancien DJ du groupe Different Teep (ex-groupe de Manu Key & Lil Jahson) puis Ideal J et ancien membre du collectif la Mafia K'1 Fry. Il a longtemps ete le producteur quasi-attitre du 113 et a realise la quasi-totalite des albums de Different Teep et Karlito.
Il fait desormais parti du celebre label Ed Banger Records.
