Raphael Valensi started music playing violin and guitar in various funk and hiphop band.
Around 1998 he discovered electronic music and immediately started to produce his own tracks and live sets with a PC and some studio equipment, which lead him to start playing in the french rave scene. He soon created the Acid Pony Club with a bunch of friends, a multi talented team specialized in promoting freaky events with a strong visual and musical identity. He started using the moniker Laura Ingalls and extended his activities to Djing, his speciality is the ability to blend completly opposite style inside one mix. In the meantime he was still working as sound engineer at the famous Parisian club, Le Nouveau Casino where he had time to study all the aspects of nightlife. After a long list of successful parties in France and Germany (Nouveau Casino, Batofar, Java, ZMF Berlin...), Raphael moved to Shanghai to be a resident DJ in Cabaret Club, and also started to move things up with his long time partner in crime Clement Pony around Shanghai with parties In MAO, LOgO...Raphael has also released tracks under the moniker Dr Raphael & Mc MoR for french labels
Eklektik and RIP and he is currently working on some remixes and fresh new materials soon to be released.
